These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the TravelLove Athens app, website and booking service, operated by licensed Athens guide Maria Papadopoulou (“TravelLove Athens”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or booking a tour, you agree to these Terms.
The service
TravelLove Athens offers small-group and private guided tours, walks and workshops in and around Athens, Greece. The app and website let you browse experiences, check availability, and book and pay for a place.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google — we do not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in secure, and for the accuracy of the details you give us. Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared. You must be at least 18 to make a booking.
Bookings and payment
Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken at the time of booking through our payment processor, Stripe. Your booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds, at which point we email you a confirmation and receipt with your booking code. If payment is not completed, a pending booking is released automatically.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
You can cancel or ask to reschedule from your bookings in the app, subject to the deadlines shown on each tour and summarised in our Cancellation policy (travelloveathens.com/cancellation-policy). As a rule, cancellations are accepted up to 24 hours, and reschedules up to 48 hours, before the start time. Eligible refunds go back to your original payment method under that policy.
If we change or cancel a tour
Occasionally we must reschedule or cancel a tour — for weather, safety, or if the minimum number of guests is not reached. If we cancel, you may choose a full refund or an alternative date. We are not responsible for separate costs you arrange around a tour, such as travel or accommodation.
On the tour
Please arrive at the stated meeting point on time; late arrivals may miss the start with no refund. Our tours involve walking, sometimes on uneven ground and in summer heat — book an experience that suits your fitness and tell us of any needs in advance. Please follow your guide’s safety instructions. Where a tour includes wine or spirits tasting, that part is for guests aged 18 and over. We may refuse or end service, without refund, for behaviour that is unsafe, abusive or unlawful.
Group chat and conduct
Some bookings include a group chat with your guide and fellow travellers. Use it respectfully and only to coordinate the experience. Do not post unlawful, abusive or spam content. We may remove content or access that breaches these Terms.
Reviews and content
The tour content, text, photography and branding in the app belong to TravelLove Athens and may not be reused without permission. If you submit a review or photo, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it in connection with the tour and our marketing, and confirm it is your own and truthful.
Disclaimers and liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but the app is offered “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Payments, sign-in and maps rely on third parties (Stripe, Apple, Google, OpenStreetMap) whose own terms apply to their services.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and the European Union. Where you deal with us as a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your country of residence, and disputes may be brought before the competent courts.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The current version is always in the app and at travelloveathens.com/terms, with the date it took effect shown at the top.
